The whole routine fits in one line. Cleanse, sweep the pad, follow with Balance. Two nights a week to start, three once skin has settled. Wear SPF the next day. That is what delivers the result — refined pores, smoother texture, more visible glow — without trading off the barrier.
The routine in one sentence
Cleanse → Pore Reset Pads → Balance → serum or moisturiser if needed. Use retinol on alternative nights. SPF every morning.
How often, and why we say start with two
Most skin gets the result it wants from two nights a week. Combination, oilier T-zones, and established active routines can comfortably move to three nights once the skin has settled. (See our guide to exfoliation frequency.)
If your skin is brand new to acid-based exfoliation, start at two nights a week. If it stays calm, move to three. If it ever feels reactive, drop back to one or two.
How to use the pad — six steps
- Cleanse thoroughly. A water-soluble cleanser to remove makeup, SPF and the day's grime.
- Sweep the embossed side. Take a single pad. Use the gently embossed side first, sweeping outward from the centre — forehead, cheeks, nose, chin. Avoid the eye area and lip line.
- Flip and finish with the smooth side. Once you've covered the face with the embossed side, flip the pad and glide the smooth side over the same areas.
- No rinse. Leave the product on. The calming layer is designed to stay on overnight.
- Follow with Balance. The barrier-supportive moisturiser layers immediately after. Add a serum or richer moisturiser on top only if your skin asks for it.
- SPF the next morning. Non-negotiable. Active refinement increases UV sensitivity.
Follow with Balance
Balance is the immediate next step after the pad. It is the barrier-supportive moisturiser that locks in the calming layer the pad delivers, holds the skin's hydration steady overnight, and finishes the routine cleanly. (More on why the barrier matters.)
SPF the morning after — every morning
Any active step that refines the skin's surface increases UV sensitivity. SPF the next day is non-negotiable, year-round.
What to skip on the same night
Pore Reset Pads is the active for that night. Don't double up:
- Retinol — alternative nights only
- Other AHA or BHA exfoliants
- Stronger vitamin C serums
- Physical scrubs or peel masks
Hydrating serums, eye creams, lip care and your usual moisturiser layers are all fine to follow with after Balance.
What you should notice — and when
Skin tends to feel smoother almost immediately after the first use. The more visible improvement — pore appearance, texture, glow — builds with consistent use over time.
If your skin reacts
Some sensitivity in the first one or two uses is normal. If you see persistent redness, tightness or stinging beyond the first night or two, drop back to one application a week and let the barrier settle. Add Balance more generously. Skip the next active night entirely.
Who Pore Reset Pads is for
It suits combination, oily, mature and sensitive skin types — when introduced at the right cadence. It is not for skin in active flare-up (open eczema, fresh active acne, recent in-clinic resurfacing).
How long a jar lasts
Each jar contains 70 pads. Used at two to three nights a week, one pad per use, that's around 5 to 6 months of use. 6-month Period After Opening.
